The H in John’s name does not actually stand for Hamish.

No. It stands for Horny.

John Horny Watson.

Anonymous asked: how do you find johnlock porn? the johnlock tag is quite boring

It is really boring, isn’t it? I had to hunt around a lot, then I found a number of blogs that draw porn and a number of blogs that reblog that porn, and it was all just luck, really, and now they just pop up on my dash! Some beautiful people who reblog a lot of porn are: cumberbitchsandwich, ishipjohnlock247, thescienceofjohnlock, fuckyeahsherlockfanartsherlockporns (not just johnlock though… recently a lot of Holmescest), and… uh… shit I can’t think well off the top of my head. Forgive me for being a little slow. But those are some people I will never unfollow due to their awesomeness and their smuttiness. Also, if you go to my page /tagged/fan art (x) you’ll find a lot of porn in there! <3 Have fuuuuun! ;)

OH! Edit: exorin is great for le written porn, if that’s what you’re after. Though admittedly, written porn is a lot easier to find than drawn porn. :(

The whole scene at Buckingham palace was changed. Apparently there wasn’t as much back shown when his sheet falls, they cut “It’s to do with sex,” and they cut the stolen ashtray. They cut the references to Sherlock’s drug/cigarette habit, and the conversation between John and his girlfriend when she breaks up with him because he’s always choosing Sherlock. Jesus christ. I swear, America is the most homophobic, sex-obsessed and yet sex-shaming culture I’ve ever seen. I hate it. And that’s coming from an American. -__-

A Rant On “Sexist” Sherlock

eddeha:

My friend was telling me the other day how disappointed she was in A Scandal In Belgravia, because of how sexist Moffat was being with Irene Adler’s character… to which I could only reply… um, what?

I agree that Irene Adler’s badassery is not compromised by her being rescued by Sherlock in the end. But in my opinion, what makes the episode sexist is her character in the context of Sherlock Holmes and feminism and all the female characters that Moffat writes. His badass woman uses her sex appeal to her power. He takes “power” in a woman extremely literally, and turns a strong female character from literature into a Dominatrix. He didn’t have to, but that’s how he sees women. He needs to make a woman strong so he goes literal. How is a woman strong in his mind? Only with her ability to be either sexy or motherly, and that is all. In the context of his writing, it is very sexist. He simply relied on an old archetype of the strong woman who, in the end, is still brought to her knees by a man. The whole fact of her being a lesbian still managing to be wooed by the strong male hero goes back to one of the most homophobic and sexist notions of all: that lesbians are only lesbians because they can’t find a good man.

Also, it’s really all just opinion, but I think the episode would have been a lot more satisfying if he had let her die. Her character, after all she went through and put everyone else through, would have had a much more satisfying end to have been killed. As a villain, being killed would have kept that bad-guys-get-punished mentality, which is sort of what Sherlock Holmes stories are about anyway. It also would have left Sherlock less sentimental. Him keeping the phone was enough sentiment for his character in my mind. They didn’t need to go that extra step.

All of this is not to say that I didn’t like the episode. I LOVE the epsiode. It’s one of my favorites!! But what’s the point in loving something if you can’t pick it apart, y’know?

Reblogging because I had a similar experience. I started watching Sherlock JUST after finding out that my birth mother had about four months to live. I was at my lowest, and Sherlock gave me something to throw myself into. A week or so after Reichenbach, when I felt like I had no more feelings left to give, I watched Third Star. I was a mess, but it was so healing, and it really comforted me. The very next day, my birth mother died. I am quite sure I would never have survived any of it without Sherlock and the film Third Star. They saved my life, and I owe this fandom EVERYTHING. Thank you to everyone who is a part of it.
